So this new critique watch thing threw me for a loop.... Anyone notice this junk? I mean, I like you guys and all, and I respect your opinions, but why would I want to be sent critiques on artworks possibly drawn by people I don't even watch? I know, I have control over it, I'm not blaming you guys, I'm just wanting someone else to acknowledge how ridiculous an addition THAT was to DA.... I mean...we're not facebook...right?

Anyways! I've been watching Mystery Science Theater 3000 t.v. shows and playing Fallout 3 for the past few days.... I'm having a GREAT time! Hung out with mom today. She doesn't really like my hair dyed like this. Ah well, Brian thinks it's sexy so it doesn't matter what she thinks.

We went to a consignment shop (basically a large garage sale indoors filled with stuff that is actually worth money). I found some of the coolest stuff!! There was this nice silver ring I'm wanting to buy that had stones you could change out of it! There were eight of them or close to it (stones for the ring I mean). It was gorgeous!! My mom bought Stephen King's book The Regulators, the partner book to Desperation, my favorite Stephen King novel. It's a hardback in GREAT condition and she only paid three bucks for it! I'm SO excited to start reading it, but first I have to finish my second run through Desperation. My mom saw Desperation in hardback in another stack of books further into the store and pointed it out to me.

"Here's more Stephen King books," she said, and I knelt down to see it while she asked in disbelief, "Is that a group of stories, or just one book?"
"It's just one book mom."
"My gosh, when did you read that?"
Shrugging, I replied, "Eighth grade."
She stared at me like I had told her I knew the secret to life,t he universe, and everything.
It amazes me how people can NOT like to read....

There was also the coolest thing I had ever seen: it looked like an old-fashioned globe, the kind that are so big they have to be set on the floor instead of a table or desk top. The wooden piece circling it had the astrological signs painted onto it. They were the ones you see in ancient charts. The globe could open. The lid tilted back on a hinge and the inside of it had images from the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Inside of it all was an ice box and around that, to keep the drinks cold, a rack for bottles of liquor! OMG! I wanted it SO bad! But two problems, 1) I don't have sixty dollars to fork over for it and 2) if I DID have the money, I'd have nowhere to put the thing. So...I have to hope I can find something like it once I move into a house...or make my own.

Yeah.... And people think it's funny.... Sorry if you're one of the ones that actually like Fred...but I felt some little part of me almost offended by the fact that this loser's face was on a fucking t-shirt in Hot Topic. Not once, not twice, but three times! THREE different t-shirts! Who wears that?!
